Restore

Restore your files/database to the Original location or an Alternate location or to Restore to local computer.

Field Description
Select what to restore There are two options: 'Choose from files as of job' and 'Choose from ALL files'.
Restore to local computer Restore file(s) to a path on the local computer.
Search Input box for searching particular file pattern to restore starting from a certain directory. The search result will be shown in the file tree.
Restore files to There are two options: 'Original location' and 'Alternate location'.
Verify checksum of in-file delta files during restore When this option is checked, the checksum of in-file delta files will be verified during the restore process. This will check the data for errors during the restore process and create a data summary of the in-file delta files which will be included in the report.
Temporary directory for storing restore files The path where the restore files will be stored temporarily.


To restore a Cloud File backup set:

  1. Click on the storage that you want to restore the backup from.
  2. Select the backup items from the Select what to restore drop down box. If you choose Choose from files as of job, you can select the date and time of the backup from the drop down box.
  3. Select the files/folders that you want to restore from the file tree. Click on the [+] in the file tree to expand the tree, [-] to collapse the tree. Click on the check box, all the files under the check box will be selected. If you would like to restore files to the local drive, or restore raw files, make sure you check the Restore to local computer check box at the bottom left corner. Click Next to proceed when you are done with the selection.
  4. Select Restore files to to choose restore location, then click Next to proceed.
  5. Click Browse to select the desired location for storing temporary directory.
  6. Click Restore to start the restore when you are done with the settings.

Please note that the add network drive feature is not supported in the 'Restore to local computer' option. This option can only select network drives which have already been setup in Windows.
