Backup Destination

Key:

Field Description
Name Name of the backup destination.
Destination storage Backup storage destination type. 'Local', 'FTP' and other cloud storage can be selected.
Access Key The access key provided by Wasabi.
Secret Key The secret key provided by Wasabi.
Region The region of the storage on the Wasabi.

Bucket Name (Optional) The name of the storage bucket for Wasabi.
Here are some basic rules for creating the bucket name:
  1. The bucket name should contains all lower case letter, number and hyphen.
  2. The bucket name should start and end with lower case letter or number.
  3. The length of the bucket name should be within 3 to 63 characters.
There is also a bucket limit which is the maximum number of buckets that can be created per storage account, this is set at 1000 but it may be increased by contacting Wasabi Customer Support. Connect with SSL/TLS Check this option if you want your connection to and from your site be encrypted and cannot be intercepted by a third party.
Access the Internet through Proxy Check this option if your site uses a Proxy Server to access the internet.

To create a backup destination for Wasabi:

  1. Enter name of the backup destination.
  2. Select Wasabi from the [Destination storage] drop down box.
  3. Enter the Access Key for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  4. Enter the Secret Key for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  5. Select a region from the [Region] drop down box.
  6. Option: Enter the Bucket Name for the storage.
  7. Option: Check the [Connect with SSL/TLS], if you want your connection to and from your site be encrypted and cannot be intercepted by a third party.
  8. Option: Check the [Access the Internet through proxy], if you need to access the internet by proxy server.
  9. Click on [Test] button to connect to the storage. Message will be prompted about the connection status. If the connection is failed, check on the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key that you typed and try the connection again.
  10. Click [OK] to add the new destination.

To modify the Wasabi settings:

  1. Configure a meaningful backup destination name if necessary.
  2. The destination storage cannot be modified. If you need another backup destination, you need to create a new backup destination.
  3. Configure information according to your requirement.
