Supported Backup Source

Below is the supported backup source for Office 365 Backup and Restore.

Mailbox Level: Outlook, OneDrive, Personal Site, Public Folders, and Site Collections

Folder Level for Outlook Mailbox: Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Archive, Calendar, Clutter, Contacts, Junk Email, Notes, RSS Feeds, Tasks and Trash

OneDrive Items: Folders, Files and Access Permissions

SharePoint Items: Announcements, Assets Libraries, Bright Banner, Calendar, Contacts, Custom Lists, Data Connection Libraries, Discussion Boards, External Lists, Form Libraries, General Settings, Import Spreadsheets, Issue Tracking, Links, Look and Feel, Manage Site Features, Permissions and Management, Picture and Libraries, Report Libraries, Site Collection Features, Site Page, Survey, Version History and Wiki / Page Libraries

Public Folders Level: Folders and Files


Set the backup source for %edition_name%

Simple backup source selection:

  1. Select the from Outlook, OneDrive, Personal Site, Public Folders or Site Collections.
  2. Tick the box(es) that you want to backup.
  3. Click the [Next] button to continue.

Advanced backup source selection:

There are two (2) ways to select a backup source using the Advanced backup source selection:

Selecting users/folders/items one by one

  1. Click on "I would like to choose the items to backup" link.
  2. In the Advanced Backup Source window, click on the [+] in the file tree to expand the tree, [-] to collapse the tree.
  3. After selecting the backup source click the [Next] button to continue.

Selecting multiple users/folders/items using the shortcut function

  1. Click on "I would like to choose the items to backup" link.
  2. In the Advanced Backup Source window, click on the [+] in the file tree to expand the tree, [-] to collapse the tree.
  3. After selecting the backup source click the [Next] button to continue.
