Backup Destination

Key:

Field Description
Name Name of the backup destination.
Type Backup destination type, either Single storage destination or Destination pool.
Destination storage Backup storage destination type. 'Local', 'FTP' and other cloud storage can be selected.
Access Key ID The access key provided by Aliyun (阿里云).
Access Key Secret The secret key provided by Aliyun (阿里云).
Region The region of the storage on the Aliyun (阿里云).

Bucket Name The name of the storage bucket for Aliyun (阿里云).
Here are some basic rules for creating the bucket name:
  1. The bucket name should contains all lower case letter, number and hyphen.
  2. The bucket name should start and end with lower case letter or number.
  3. The length of the bucket name should be within 3 to 63 characters.
There is also a bucket limit which is the maximum number of buckets that can be created per region, this is set to 100. For more information please refer to this link: https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/doc-detail/54464.htm
Access the Internet through proxy Check this option if your site uses a proxy server to access the Internet.


To create a backup destination using Aliyun (阿里云):

  1. If you do not have an Aliyun (阿里云) account, please click on the link 'Sign up for (阿里云)' to create an account.
  2. Enter name of the backup destination.
  3. Select 'Single storage destination' under [Type].
  4. Select '阿里云' from the [Destination storage] drop down box.
  5. Enter the Access Key ID for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  6. Enter the Access Key Secret for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  7. Select the region of your storage.
  8. Option: Enter the Bucket Name for the storage.
  9. Option: Check the 'Access the Internet through proxy' if you need to access the Internet by proxy server.
  10. Click on [Test] button to connect to the storage. Message will be prompted about the connection status. If the connection is failed, check on the Access Key ID and Access Key Secret that you typed and try the connection again.
  11. Click [OK] to add the new destination.


To modify the Aliyun (阿里云) settings:

  1. Modify the backup destination name if necessary.
  2. The destination storage cannot be modified. If you need another backup destination, you need to create a new backup destination.
  3. Click [OK] to continue.


To create a destination pool using Aliyun (阿里云):

  1. Enter name of the backup destination pool.
  2. Select 'Destination pool' under [Type].
  3. Click [+] to add a new storage destination.
  4. Enter the name of the backup destination.
  5. Select '阿里云' from the [Destination storage] drop down box.
  6. Enter the Access Key ID for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  7. Enter the Access Key Secret for the storage. (Suggested to copy and paste the key to avoid typographical errors.)
  8. Select the region of your storage.
  9. Option: Enter the Bucket Name for the storage.
  10. Option: Check the 'Access the Internet through proxy' if you need to access the Internet by proxy server.
  11. Click on [Test] button to connect to the storage. Message will be prompted about the connection status. If the connection is failed, check on the Access Key ID and Access Key Secret that you typed and try the connection again.
  12. Click [OK] to add the destination.
  13. Repeat the above steps to add a new backup destination to the pool.
  14. Once all the backup destination has been added, click [OK] to save the destination pool.
